I have been elected to the Jabber Software Foundation Board of Directors.
With the evaluation work being done by the IETF and with the continuos growth of the installed based, Jabber/XMPP is poised for a bright future as the protocol for real time communication (Instant Messaging and more).
The Board will have to focus on making Jabber obiquitous.
It seems like big media is starting to cover Jabber
